SUSAN DAY REVIEW
“Auntie Bertie and the Flying Circus Mouse: With a Colour Therapy Twist! A book review I have to admit I loved this book, and it’s not really aimed at 50 something grandmas! It is so much fun, I was laughing from page to page. The main character is Auntie Bertie who is an old lady with Victorian values and principles. Now, if you are not familiar with Victorian values, they come from the time of Queen Victoria of England. She was very stiff and proper! It was a time when children were believe to be seen and not heard. They weren’t allowed to speak unless spoken to and, just like home life, school was a very serious affair. Auntie Bertie hates loud noise and noisy children, and when the circus comes to town, she is not at all amused! With her dog, Susan, she sets off to stop the circus. Following them are two rescue cats, Molly and George. They live next door and decide to follow to see what havoc Auntie Bertie causes. Of course, children love the circus so the reader is hoping she isn’t able to stop it. The illustrations are bright and do a great job of bring the story to life. Your children will love to read along with Auntie Bertie’s adventure. This fun and engaging book will make a welcome addition to your library.”

I think that sometimes I enjoy bedtime stories more than my little ones do.

Beautiful large books with colourful illustrations and a lovely story. Stories that transport my little ones minds to another place another time.

When these stories have meanings and also help mould the minds of children then that is an excellent book.

Esther Loftus Gough writes beautifully illustrated books for children with a colour therapy twist. Colour therapy is all about meanings through colours and very interesting.

“I enjoyed this book. It is a real eye opener not only for the kids but also us grown ups. My boys were mesmerised by how awful the three teeth felt and looked after not being brushed by Johnnie and I think they have been put off eating hard boiled sweets for a while! My 5 year old seemed to brush his teeth extra well after reading this book! A great book to reinforce the importance of brushing teeth. I think these books would be an asset to any dentist surgery and in schools when dental hygiene is the subject. A lovely educational read which I’m sure will stay with your little ones for a long time.”
